Workforce Reentry Program
In addition to being committed to safety and excellence in everything we do, M&M Cleaning Solutions is committed to being a resource to our community.
Individuals returning to society from prison face significant social and financial challenges. The rate of recidivism in the United States is an astonishing 70%. Research has shown that education and training is one of the best ways to help formerly incarcerated people find employment and become financially stable. A study by the Rand Corporation and the Vera Institute of Justice indicated that “inmates who participated in correctional education programs were 43 percent less likely to return to prison than those who did not participate”.
Our Workforce Reentry Program provides structured education and supervised on-the-job training. Participants are able to master janitorial and hospitality skills, develop transferable coping skills and identify social and financial resources for their continued success.
The total duration of the program is 5 weeks. In addition to coursework, participants are required to complete a minimum of 2 weeks supervised on-the-job training before being considered for permanent employment. The training requirements may be extended or reduced based on the participant’s progress and performance. Permanent employment is at the sole discretion of M&M Cleaning Solutions and its participating clients.
If you are interested in contributing, too — by authorizing supervised on-the-job training at your workplace — please let us know. We would love to partner with you to help make a difference in the lives of these individuals and our community.
All the best,
Robert Harrison
